Common questions

Does Apex need an account?

No. Everything works signed out, and drives stay on your phone. An account exists so losing your phone doesn't mean losing your history.

Does it keep recording with the screen off?

Yes — otherwise a drive would stop the moment you pocket the phone. It only records while a drive is running, never at any other time.

How do I get my data out?

Settings → Data → Export my data. You get one JSON file with everything, including the full GPS track of every drive.

How do I delete my account?

Settings → Account → Delete account. It erases everything on the phone and on the server, immediately and permanently.

My drives aren't syncing.

Settings → Account shows what's waiting and, if something is wrong, why. Send me a screenshot of that card — it's the useful part.
